Where is the puzzle message system on the Samsung Captivate? How do I activate it?

I know the Samsung Captivate is supposed to have some kind of system that shows you notifications through puzzle pieces, how do I activate that? I can't find it anywhere in my settings.Where is the puzzle message system on the Samsung Captivate? How do I activate it?Mine was already set. It only shows on the lock screen.
