i have a samsung 42" plasma tv and a samsung (ht-c453) home theater system. the surround sound only works with the dvd and radio but it doesnt work just with the tv on.
i thought you could have it on with just the tv? or am i wrong?My samsung home theater system only works on dvds and radio and wont work with just the tv?Look at you home theater in a box and see if it has an optical audio input. Most home theater in a box are not designed for you to add anything to it. When one item fails the whole system has to be replaced. If your system has an optical audio input, then connect an optical audio cable from the tv to your home theater in a box. This will provide you sound from the tv. Hope this will help you out.
