What speakers are compatible with the dvd player samsung dvd h1080r?

I just bought a new samsung tv with a matching dvd player. When we got home we realised the sound wasn't great so we would like to get surround sound speakers that are compatible with the dvd player we bought, but we cant afford to spend hundreds on them. Are there any speakers compatible for a decent price.

ThanksWhat speakers are compatible with the dvd player samsung dvd h1080r?A DVD player is basically a "deck", meaning that it's not a standalone or self-contained device. Obviously, you already know that you can't watch it without a TV. The same is true for the sound. You can't listen to it without an amplifier. Your TV has an audio amplifier, along with speakers, inside it.

If you don't want to use your TV's audio amp and speakers, you'll need a separate audio amplifier along with the separate speakers you're asking about. You will need one not only accepts 2-channel stereo audio, but also decodes the embedded 5-channel surround-sound information for the surround speakers. Cheap ones can cost from $49 on up, and they really are cheap (sounding). A good system is going to cost you a lot more. There is no such thing as "compatibility". Brand is only an issue for price/quality.

Lastly, keep in mind that the audio %26amp; video out of your DVD player are synchronized. Your TV is also designed to keep audio %26amp; video synchronized. But if you plan on using one device to watch, and another to hear, you may easily find that audio and video tend to lag one another. Not terribly so, but it could end up like watching an old Bruce Lee movie where the lips are out of sync with the sound.
