I have samsung mezmerise and want to know if there is any sort of notification light?

I have a samsung mesmerize and was wondering if there us an app or something I could download to have a little notification light for when I get a text or something..? There are two little things right up by my earpiece that looks like one of them might be something for a light but I don't know. Anything will help!!
