How to obtain the 8 digit unlock code for samsung gravity?

well i bought this samsung phone brand new off ebay and it was supposed to already be unlocked.

but its not. and Im mad because i paid 150$ for it. sad i know. is there another way to get the code without having to call t-mobile?



i have the IEMI code thingy but will they only require me to give them that in order to get the code?
