How do you set vibrate settings on a Samsung Alias 2?

I have the samsung alias 2 through verizon. When I get a text it vibrates 3 times, I'd like it to only vibrate once for a text. I have the same issue. While it's vibrating, though, you can push the Volume down arrow on the left side of the handset and it will stop. Hope this helps!
