How do I set the passkey on my Samsung Eternity cell phone?

My PC finds my Samsung Eternity OK, but then asks for the passkey. It requires an entry in this field. I can't find a way on the phone to set a passkey so that my PC can access it. I can't figure out how to go the other way for the same reason - can't find a way to set a passkey on my Dell laptop.
