How can I transfer my video from Samsung Camcorder to iMAC?

please help me,

I have samsung dijital camcorder with USB cabel, but i couldn't use it in my iMAC. What I will I do for it? I understant if I have Windows PC I can use it easily. Is that right? I have many terrible using my iMAC because I don't know MAC very well.
