In a Samsung Timesaver 1000W microwave, can the plastic centrepiece that pushes the plate around be pulled out?

In a Samsung Timesaver 1000W microwave, can the plastic centrepiece that pushes the plate around be pulled out to be replaced? I have tried placing a flat knife under the wings and levy it. That just succeeded in breaking the wing off. The whole thing needs to come off to be replaced but I am hesitant in getting pliers or grips %26amp; really giving it a good pull. It needs replacing. In a Samsung Timesaver 1000W microwave, can the plastic centrepiece that pushes the plate around be pulled out?get a new microwave look what this guy had to say:

Bought myself a Samsung TimeSaver 1000W Microwave, model MS123SCE

When I got it home and tried it, to my astonishment the microwave

turned ON when opening the door a certain way!

After a few tries it became clear that if the bottom safety catch on

the door is disengaged (when opening the door) before the top safety

catch, the microwave turnes on. Once the top safety catch operates,

the microwave turns off.

So if you pull on the door handle fast enough or on the upper half of

the handle, you wouldn't suspect a problem. But if you pull on the

lower half of the handle slowly, you can make the microwave switch on

and stay on. Even if the microwave is in it's supposed off mode.

Absolutely incredible. I can't see how it can be a fault with my unit,

as there should be no way a microwave can switch on by simply opening

the door. It must be a design fault.

Needless to say it's going back for a refund, and I'll try another one

in store to see if it has the same problem. Not that I'd get the same

model again.

I have informed Samsung via the website, but I don't really expect a

reply. Anyone got any better contacts at Samsung Aust that I can

report this to?

Be warned, don't touch this model!
